A Second Career?

Leap of FaithHave you ever considered making a career change toward the pastoral ministry?  Jesus' disciples were second-career, were they not?  Did you know that today almost half of the men studying for the pastoral ministry are second-career?  They bring a wealth of experience from other positions.  And many of them bring a spouse and children as well to the seminary.  Others study locally through a variety of alternative programs.  But first comes the consideration: Is God leading me toward the pastoral ministry?

VanBuskirk family

Raymond Van Buskirk is one such second-career pastor.  He and his spouse, Martha, moved onto a seminary campus along with their three children.  After that incredible experience Martha and Raymond spoke with many other men and their families who, together, made that transition.  The product of those discussions is a What a Way resource called Leap of Faith.

  • Request a copy of "Leap of Faith" as you consider God's leading in your life or to pass along to someone you believe would be well suited to put down his nets and instead become a fisher of men.

What a joy-filled way to use your gifts and serve our Lord and His church!
